David Vickers
David Vickers is the vision behind Chiltipin Creek Hats. A Texian born and raised in San Patricio County, his home is in the crossroads community of West Sinton. David’s career as a social studies teacher preceded learning the hat making trade at J.W. Hats in Salt Lake City … and eventually opening his own shop. He is a living history enthusiast and avid Freemason.

Savannah McCumber
Savannah “Bill” McCumber is a rancher and businesswoman from Goliad County, Texas. She descends from Irish immigrants who originally settled in Live Oak County area. Savannah works occasionally as a hatter at Chiltipin Creek Hats — keeping the tradition of the handmade hat alive. Savannah lives near Berclair where she raises and trains foundation horses and cattle.
